Finding Cumorah - Expedition 1 Archives
As of October 4, 2006 this page will be available to the general public. Below I will post updates as we make noteworthy progress towards proving that Cumorah3 is the original hill Ramah Cumorah spoken of in the Book of Mormon, and towards finding other physical evidences of Nephites. Breaking News
1. IT WAS A HUGE SUCCESS!! The first expedition to the Cumorah3 site in Mexico began on June 12, 2006. It only took us four days to find what we were looking for! You can read the expedition archives here.
2. Expedition 1 to Cumorah3 turned up stories of a place near the hill where a flood resulted in the bones of huge people appearing in the mud. Finding physical evidences of Jaredites is also of interest to our Book of Mormon focus, we'll track down promising leads. At least some of the Jaredites were large and mighty men. Keep watching this page for news about exciting events as they unfold.
3. It is known that Moroni traveled for 35 years after the battle at Cumorah. His father Mormon survived that battle and may also have done some traveling prior to his death. It is possible that they left messages for us. Prophets have said that Moroni dedicated the site of several temples, including the one in St. George, Utah.
Our focus at present is on the Cumorah3 site in Mexico, but some information is known about ancient sites in the western USA as well. I was recently shown four very interesting locations not far from St. George where it appears from the way the ancients communicated, that Moroni may have been there at one time.
4. Posted October 30, 2006: We picked up a few bone fragments on our first scouting trip to Cumorah3. Dr. Ainsworth submitted them for lab testing. Here is a recent email I received from Jerry re one of those bone fragments:
----- Original Message -----From: JerryTo: MarcelSent: Monday, October 30, 2006 11:40 AMSubject: bone fragmentMarcel:I spoke with the man to whom I sent the bone fragment, as I wanted to know the progress. He said that the process was not yet complete and and should take another 4-5 months. His excuse was that there was a long line of similar requests in front of my request. He did say that they were able to extract sufficient amounts of colligen, (sp?) so as to make dating possible.Jerry

A big part of our mission is to publish new findings to the world. We're currently building a foundation of dedicated members to help with that. Please take the initiative and voluntarily do everything you can to bring more people to the Mormon Sites public website, and to encourage more people to become members of our team.
Copy and paste the link below into emails, newsgroups, online forums, LDS websites, etc.
You could also copy and post something like the following anywhere on the internet:
Marcel at an eye carved in rock near Cedar City, Utah - one of the ways the ancients communicated. Position yourself exactly at the center of the eye and at the right time of day a shadow glyph is revealed in the distance.
