Tentative Schedule of Events involving Dr. Ainsworth
Be sure to visit "The Reading Room" to view many articles by Dr. Ainsworth
Dr. Jerry L. Ainsworth, author of "The Lives and Travels of Mormon and Moroni" and "Love and Health" is frequently the featured speaker at LDS events and tours.
Let me know if you would like more information on an event scheduled below, or are interested in having Jerry speak at one of your stake or multi-stake, or singles or other event. He usually does not charge a fee, but of course it would be appropriate to reimburse his expenses from Dallas, Texas.
2007
September 8-16 with a Fun For Less Tours group to Book of Mormon lands. We start visiting the site of Teotihuacan, and then fly to Villerhermosa, there are some sites there, and then to Palenque. From Palenque we drive to Guatemala and visit the ruin site of Tikal, and then to Lake Atitlan, (the waters of Mormon). We end the trip with a visit to Kaminaljuyu, (the proposed city of Nephi), and possibly to Quirigua. Then fly back to the U.S. from Guatemala City.
I will then go to Toronto September 21-23 to be the keynote speaker at a multi-stake LDS singles conference. Jerry
October 26 through November 1: a one week BofM tour which will be based in Cancun. We will visit the sites of Tulum, Coba, Chichen Itza and Ek Balaam - and of course the sandy beaches of the Mexican Riviera. With luck my sidekick Esteban will be with us, and there is no pair that know the Maya/BofM connection better than the two of us! Jerry

2008
January 19 - 21: SCUBA exploring underwater cities near Belize, with Gregg.
February 24 through March 2, I will conduct a BofM cruise on the Carnival cruise line. Leaving from Tampa, we will visit Grand Cayman, Cozumel and Maya sites in Belize and Costa Maya, such as Tulum. I was on this very same cruise last January, and it was a blast! Not only was it fun, but the folks learned a ton about the Book of Mormon. Jerry
